Headache & Migraine Interventions Expert Witness

Dr. Urits co-edited Interventional Management of Migraines and Other Headache Disorders (Elsevier, 2024), a textbook on procedures used to treat chronic headache, and contributed chapters on botulinum toxin, cervical epidural steroid injections, cervical medial branch blocks, and supraorbital nerve stimulation. Common issues

• Post-traumatic headache after motor vehicle collisions or traumatic brain injury

• Occipital and other nerve blocks, sphenopalatine ganglion blocks, botulinum toxin, radiofrequency ablation, and nerve stimulation: when indicated and what can go wrong

• Post-dural puncture headache after epidurals, spinal anesthesia, or device procedures

• Reasonableness and frequency of ongoing interventional headache treatment
